Windwrap, LLC presents

KevlaWrap™

The world's only housewrap with Kevlar® securing a building's roof to its foundation.

KevlaWrap™ is a breakthrough in Continuous Load Path technology

KevlaWrap™ is a multi-functional product that stands alone in the marketplace.  The KevlaWrap™ composite fabric provides superior resistance to roof lift-off via its Continuous Load Path (CLP) and eliminates the need for the separate purchase and installation of a premium housewrap.  KevlaWrap™ provides a uniquely strong CLP via its patented scrim technology that uses Kevlar® threads, spaced to provide 6-7 load points per inch.  KevlaWrap™ is applied vertically and provides a CLP by tying the roof of a structure down to its foundation.  During testing, KevlaWrap™ achieved an average Ultimate Load of over 980 lbs. per lineal foot, protecting against winds up to 140 mph.  KevlaWrap™ also provides a structure with the benefits of the highest quality housewrap because it is made from a non-woven, non-perforated polypropylene substrate that helps protect a structure from bulk water and air infiltration while, at the same time, allowing water vapor to escape from the structure.

KevlaWrap™ will provide builders:

1.     Significant direct cost savings – over $625 per home – versus other CLP systems.

2.     Reduction of the build cycle – in most cases the build cycle will reduce by a full day.

3.     Simplification of the logistics chain.

4.     Simplification of the build process by significantly reducing the number of parts to provide a CLP.

5.     LEED benefit through a reduction in the number of thermal shorts.

6.     Enhanced marketability by alignment with the Kevlar® brand.
